Eligibility
- You may open a FlexiSave account if you are aged 16 years or over, resident or ordinarily resident in the UK and subject to UK tax.
- Only one FlexiSave account is allowed per investor whether held jointly or in a sole name.
Investment limits
- Minimum initial investment - £20
- Maximum account holding - £50,000.
Interest payments
- Interest rates on this account are variable and can fluctuate over a period.
- Interest is paid annually on 31st December.
Deposits and withdrawals
- You can save up to £6,000 each year, subject to maximum account balance of £50,000
- You can deposit one amount each year or make 12 regular monthly payments (maximum of 1 deposit a month)
- 3 instant access withdrawals allowed each year
- Any additional withdrawals requires the account to be closed and the funds transferred to another account
- Withdrawals and deposits can be made at any Barnsley branch or by post.

Net: Interest on investments and savings amounts is payable net of income tax, which means after the deduction of income tax at the lower rate of 20%, or subject to the required registration gross.
